Total student fees for the project are $3400 (If you applied as a Student Staff your total fees are $1700 due to your early departure date). Fees for the summer are the same regardless of late arrival or early departure (see your acceptance letter regarding late arrival or early departure). Please note that if you have been accepted as Student Staff your fee’s are approximately half of the overall cost.
Project fees cover housing, utilities, some meals, materials, socials, project set-up costs, books, project sweatshirts, etc.
Project support deadlines are put in place in order to help you experience a summer free of financial responsibility to the project, as any remaining support will need to be covered out of your personal expenses.
The project support deadlines are:
- March 15th: 25% of total support goal
- April 15th: 50% of total support goal
- May 15th: 90% of total support goal
- June 1st: 100% of total support goal
Any support goal that is not reached will lead to a discussion with a Alaska Summer Project Director, who will determine the next steps in support raising or summer project participation.
Remember, all support checks must be made payable to, “CRU!”
